Just about dry but certainly a windy and cold morning start for the boys and their parents travelling to Chesham for a 9.30 AM kick off.  The boys dedicated coaches Nazir and Jamil already at the ground keeping the boys warm with some quick warm ups and a pep talk as the boys begin to play their second last game of the season.

SJFA boys took charge of the game early on and dominated their game throughout with some excellent ball skills and creating some excellent opportunities. They immediately put the opposition on the back foot and in defence mode. The pitch was a little muddy would be an understatement but our boys kept on pushing the opposition with the first goal being scored by Ali Nurmohamed when Jabir Merali took a corner kick.

This follows another brilliant goal by Ali Nurmohamed and whilst the opposition were recovering from 2 nil down, Abbas Rajvani come in from the half way line to score the 3rd goal.  This really pushed the opposition who started to attack and some great defending by the SJFA boys, Jabir acting like a wall ensuring nothing passes the last man. Just minutes before half time, the opposition sneak passed our boys and make their first goal. The first half ended with 3 goals to 1 in favour of SJFA.

The second half started with our boys back in attack and Ali Nurmohmaed strikes again making it a hattrick for himself in this game. The team showed good strength and discipline in some very challenging pitch conditions which started tiring the team down. This pushed the opposition to score their second goal and not long before Husain Bhaloo returns the goal difference by a goal making it 5 goals to 2 in SJFA’s favour.

Mikaeel, Aadam and Husain did an excellent job in goal not letting more than 2 goals through them and played an exciting game throughout. Hassan was a great support to Ali and Abbas upfront creating a number of opportunities for them to score. Jawaad, Zayn and Hussain retained the ball well in the middle creating chances with smart through balls.

It was an exciting morning of football and the boys had a great time. There were a number of games being played today but our main coach Jamil could be heard from miles away ensuring our boys were focussed on what was needed to be done. A well deserved win and excellent team work by all.
