The match began fairly balanced with both teams pressing, until Stanmore Jaffery’s U9 first goal towards the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter saw Stanmore Jaffery’s start to dominate with a mixture of controlled attacking play whilst containing the Kings Church attack. A further goal added to SJ U9 lead.

An action-packed Quarter 3 saw three further goals – clearly the encouraging half-time words from coaches Mustafa and Sadik worked a treat. Kings Church were able to pull a goal back in each Q3 and Q4.

The muddy conditions in Amersham were more bearable with the deliciously flavoursome and much enjoyable cup of chai, courtesy of Fayaz.
