MAMT 2022 Review

Finally, after a long break due to the pandemic we welcomed back Football to COEJ MAMT in Peterborough.

SJFC were represented by 132 players participating across 8 categories from Tier 2 through to Over 39’s, our youth teams managed by our team of fantastic coaches and passionately supported by the ever faithful parents and the Adults organised by captains of their teams.

It all started at 9am on a drizzling morning which didn’t dampen the spirits of the boys at all and the weather got better as the day progressed.

The boys were ready in time & thank you parents for getting there and making sure the boys found their coaches ready for the start.

Each pitch was filled with the sound of coaches voices encouraging their players on, parents willing their boys to push that little bit more and a lot banter between Jammats that we have missed for the last two years.

It was a testemmant to the boys they showed a level of akhlaq in repseneting SJFC that was unsurpased across all age groups and this is something we need to acknowledge & be proud of before any results are discussed.

Across SJFC we had a total of 13 youth teams across 6 groups as wells as teams in each of two adult categories the Open & Over 39s.

However, unlike previous years there was only one final per group, SJFC managed to bring home silverware in 5 out of the 8 groups which is an amazing result by all our players.

Our 2022 MAMT Results are as follows:
  • Tier 3 (Year 4&5): SJFC Sharks  – Runners Up
  • Tier 4 (Year 6&7): SJFC Lions    – Winners
  • Tier 6 (Year 8&9): SJFC United  – Winners
  • U18s (Year 12&13): SJFC Bears – Winners
  • Over 39s : Stanmore Panthers   – Winners
