“As the father of two young children, I am passionate about youth personal development. I feel through participating in sport children have the opportunity demonstrate and experience personal attributes, such as grit, resilience, perseverance. These attributes are extremely valuable in today’s world and I’m glad SJFC is providing our youngsters an opportunity to gain and demonstrate these attributes in a safe and welcoming environment.”

“At the age of 41, It dawned on me that it was unlikely that I would be picked up by any Premiership Scouts, despite my obvious talent. Having already mastered Subbuteo, Fantasy Football, and Pro Evolution Soccer I decided to try my hand at coaching.

In seriousness, Football can help young people with health, confidence and teamwork. By learning growth mindset principles in sport, kids can apply them to all aspects of their life to become role models for the next generation.”

“It is an honour and a privilege to serve as Chair of Stanmore Jaffreys Football Academy (SJFA). I feel extremely grateful and humbled to have been afforded this opportunity.

Over the last two years, the SJFA has gone from strength to strength but continued to be a local community football club. I am proud to be part of a set up that engages not just our community but also the wider community. and work with a team who are 110% committed on our journey. The team consists of 30 plus coaches who manage the training sessions rain or shine.

All this would not be possible without the boys and parents who play an integral part of the club – without them – we would not have the opportunity to serve this community club. The boys and parents can therefore be equally proud the part they play in the future success of Stanmore Jafferys Football Academy.”
