Middlesex Transition Festival Report

It was a scorching day as we arrived at the Middlesex Transition Festival ready for a challenging day ahead.

We started our warm up and training in preparation for our first game against Minds United.

We began the game brilliantly with some quick goals, setting up the momentum for a fantastic game. We played some brilliant football, scoring goals like England against Germany as we cruised to victory in our first game.

There were so many memorable goals from the players earning us a well earned albeit short rest, raring to go for the next game.

We were warned the next game would be a physical one, and with reason as the opponents Maxwell Pricemann FC were great physically.

We went a goal down from a great finish and before we knew it they had a second. But we showed fantastic Stanmore Jaffery’s FC spirit to bring it back to 2-1, with a goal from Zaamin Valjy and were inches away from a second when Irfaan Kanji struck a shot off the post and for a second we all thought it had gone in!

However Maxwell Pricemann managed to score a third goal and despite a goal from Yaseen Valjy, the match ended 3-2.

Despite this result, our performance and attitude was brilliant throughout this game and the entire festival.

The festival was a great opportunity for us to learn and inshallah help us grow as players for the future.
