Salaam Cup 2018 Squads & Sufra Collection

With only 1 day to go to the much awaited tournament, the countdown and excitement surrounding the SJFA 2018 Salaam Cup has truly started.
92 teams representing 20 clubs covering 800 players with 100+ officials are expected to march into the Harefield Academy on Saturday, 30th June.

The coaches have deliberated over midnight oil on the squad selections. The squads can now be found here. The tournament information pack for the day can be found here.

On the day, all SJFA players will be required to wear the full official SJFA. Spare kits will not be available on the day. Please also ensure the boys have with their shin pads and/or goalkeeper gloves which will be checked by the coaches.

All medication (inhalers etc.) will need to be clearly labelled and handed to the coach(S) before the fixtures start.

We would like YOU ALL to once again embark with us on this journey as ONE TEAM & ONE COMMUNITY. Bring your families, children, parents, grandparents – sharing the harmony and unity with our neighbouring communities.

Salaam Cup is an event for the whole family and for children not participating in the tournament we have arranged entertainment including movies on the big screen in the auditorium where popcorn and candy floss will be served. We thank Hujjat for their support in providing this entertainment.

Don’t miss out on the chance to win a pair of Emirates Economy Class Tickets to Dubai in our raffle with a wide range of other exciting prizes (£2 per raffle ticket)

As you all know the SJFA are partnering with Sufra NW London who every year collects and distributes over 50 tonnes of non-perishable food to nearly 4,000 people in absolute crisis. These include a wide range of beneficiaries such as the mentally unwell, the disabled, carers, the unemployed, the elderly and low-income families affected by poverty. The Food Bank, which relies entirely on donations from the public, is the culmination of extensive partnerships with local charities, corporate sponsors, faith communities and youth organisations, which together ensure that no one in our community should ever go hungry.

Sufra is our only charity partner and they will be present throughout the day. We are asking all parents (SJFA and non SJFA) to donate a bag of groceries for the people who need it most. This is a great opportunity to close a successful season before we break up for a well deserved Summer break. A list of the food items required can be found here.

As always we are humbled by all the support we receive for this initiative.
Best of luck to all the SJFA teams and coaches!
