SJFA Coach Completes London to Brighton Bike Ride For Charity

On 17th September, Kumail Merali, a SJFA Tier 6 coach completed the London to Brighton (54 miles) bike ride and raised over £1,000 for WhoIsHussain.

Who is Hussain? is a non-profit organisation which promotes awareness about the life and legacy of Hussain ibn Ali (AS) and works to constructively serve humanity primarily from blood donation to shelter provisions.
The bike ride starts at Clapham Common in London and finishes at Madeira Drive on the Brighton sea front.

Once out of London the cyclists predominantly cycle along quiet country lanes passing through Mitcham, Carshalton, Chipstead, Banstead and Haywards Heath before taking on the challenge that is Ditchling Beacon – a mile long climb to the top of the South Downs where they were  rewarded with amazing views and a water break! From here the cyclists downhill the last few miles onto Brighton sea front. The full route is as follows:
