Further to the 28 SJFA coaches completing/progressing with their FA Level 1 course, a further 17 continued their development by completing their FA Level 1 Futsal course last Saturday (20 January).
Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided football game that is widely played across the world and is officially recognised by both UEFA and FIFA in its own right.
The nature of the game places a large emphasis on technical skill and ability in situations of high pressure, and is subsequently an excellent breeding ground for football competencies that can be translated into the 11-a-side format of the game.
The course was held at our training base in Harefield. It provided our dedicated coaches with an understanding of the techniques and skills related to the game of Futsal. Whilst also helping our coaches to organise and deliver basic Futsal practices. Finally, the course introduced our coaches to the structure of the game, the laws and the role that it can play in developing underlying techniques and skills.
Once again we thank the FA for their assistance in delivering the course and our coaches for their dedication to the development of our youth.
