SJFA Coaches Seek Development During Ramadhan

One of the key priorities for the 2017/2018 season is to provide a platform for the coaches to develop their coaching skills and competency with the ultimate aim for this to be passed down during the training sessions. In preparation of the new season, a trio of training sessions were organised will Ali Kamal, a UEFA B Coach.

Ali Kamal is currently the Head of Development for Belmont United YCFC where he:

  • Provides coaching programs for team managers and coaches and technical development sessions with the club players
  • Implemented a club philosophy for all age groups which covers areas such as playing styles and attitudes
  • Deploy coaches to the correct position, monitor standard and resolve performance issues
  • Oversee all coaching sessions, content and delivery to ensure players requirements are met and delivered

Ali is also part of the Crystal Palace Talent Development team where he currently oversees all coaching sessions, content to ensure player requirements are met and delivered. Ali also has valuable coaching experience with Reading and Arsenal Football Clubs.

Over the two sessions to date, in total 27 coaches attended. During the last session and over 90 minutes three of coaches prepared a coaching session for Ali Kamal to assess. The assessment was then opened up for feedback on an individual basis from Ali Kamal, and collectively from the other coaches. The final session will a Masterclass delivered by Ali Kamal to the coaches which they can they apply during their training sessions.

The trio of training sessions is a stepping stone for some of the coaches to start their FA Level 1 Badge during the 2017/2018 season. We thank the coaches for their time and efforts in developing SJFA.

We would also like to thank Ali Kamal for his support over the years.
