SJFA Recognition – MFA Awards 2018

The Middlesex FA Grassroots Awards 2018 took place at their new Rectory Park HQ on Friday 28th September.

The event is a celebration of the contributions to football in Middlesex football community.

Some outstanding stories of service to the game were witnessed and SJFA would like to congratulate all the winners across the categories.

These awards are held across the country in all county FAs where the award criteria look for people who make the FA values part of the part of clubs, leagues and local communities.

The FA maintains football is a game For All, and the awards are for the people who make a positive difference.

Following categories were awarded at the event this year:

  • Grounds Team of the Year
  • Match Official of the Year
  • Community Programme of the Year
  • Young and Adult Volunteer of the Year
  • Coach of the Year
  • Charter Standard Club of the Year

SJFA were nominated in the last category, a status obtained earlier in the summer, and whilst we did not emerge as the winner, a special mention and recognition was received in public at the awards for all our achievements.

Over and above the awards and a Q&A panel on Disability Football, the evening agenda provided a great networking and learning opportunity for the SJFA contingent represented by Hussein Pirbhai, Safraz Valjy, and Hyderali Datoo together with the Middlesex FA IAG Chair Shafique Govani.
