The previous fixture versus Youngs was an exciting game. We were 2-0 up at half-time and cruising but then Youngs came back in the second half and won 3-2. We did not want the same to happen again.

We started well and within the first 10 minutes we were 1-0 up. Alireza Hamir won the ball in midfield and played the ball to Mohamedmahdi Janmohamed on the wing who played in Sami Merali who finished well.

Sami then had another two efforts on goal which were both saved by their keeper, before Hassan Merali Dewji was played in and took an early shot which was just wide. We really should have been 3 or 4 up by this time.
Soon after Alireza took a quick throw in to Hassan who took a shot at the unsuspecting keeper who did well to get something on it, only for it too fall to Sami who buried it 2-0!

This was another great start, reminiscent of the start of the reverse fixture, only for it to continue in the same vain! Youngs found some grit and determination and we became tired and lethargic.

Youngs won a corner and we failed to clear and they scored 2-1. Soon after one of our defenders got dispossessed and they scored, 2-2. All our hard work was undone by two costly mistakes. Half time 2-2.

The second half was to be one sided. We were without a recognised keeper and two of the boys played a half each in goal, both playing extremely well, Abbas Chandoo and Jaabir Walji. This meant having to re-shuffle and it seemed to have affected our performance, together with the fact most of the team hadn’t played for three to four weeks because of Easter holidays, we just seemed to play with little energy.

Youngs, upped their game and managed to score another two goals in the second half winning the game 2-4.

To say we were all disappointed was an understatement! For the second time, after a great start, we lost to Youngs FC. Many lessons were learnt and more for us to concentrate on in training. We hope to make it thirds time lucky when we play them next!
