SJFA U8 vs Chesham United Generals

New league, new kit, new manager. So much anticipation. But no one could have prepared us for the rush of Game 1. With only 7 days’ notice, even Coach AVB Raza didn’t have time to get his clipboard and white board ready for the game. The boys were saved! I’m sure he’ll be well prepared for Game 2.

What a game!
I took notes through the game but I quickly realised that summarising every goal would take an eternity. The boys did SJFA proud and we came out on top. 11-1 on top! What a performance. They all played magnificently. With Zayn Dharas getting a quick hat trick inside the first 5 mins. There was always going to be one winner. Ali Nurmohammed joined in the fun and added another 3 with Shabbar joining in on the act, finishing the half 7-1 up. Zayn K scored an absolute beauty, from nearly the half way line, which should probably make contender for goal of the season.

Coach Raza had the long away trip next Saturday to Wycombe in mind when deciding to rest the star strikers and bribing on Aadam and Ali Jawad. They did a great job in consolidating the lead. Some great defending. And midfield runs. Abbas, our keeper had a quiet game but when called upon he made a quality save, diving to his right. He also scored from the penalty spot. The second half saw good runs down the left hand wing by Hassan V, piercing through the opposition defence and tracking back in defence, flying in with his usual sliding tackles. He was desperate to get in on the act and when out on pitch and he made an instant impact. Laying one up for Zayn D and then taking a penalty himself. He had a good game. Mikhail bossed the defence, he was a rock in defence. Never diving in. He knew what he was doing.

Well played SJFA U8. A fantastic start to the season.

Sajjad Taqi (coach), Raza Jaffery (Coach) and Nazir Rajvani (coach and referee).
