A long awaited start to the season for the SJFC U12s, a home game with good crowd and great weather.

The boys started positively, pressing high up the pitch pushing the opposition back. Ahmad and Asadali constant pressure on the left flank resulting in a early lead. Ahmad dribbles through the heart of the midfield, down the left side with a low cross into the box to Rayyan Ali, who cooling finished the move into the roof of the net.

The defence of Amaar, Basher and Hamza holding strong protecting the goal not allowing any chances for the opposition through the first half.

A good opportunity with the same pairing of Ahmad driving down the left and crossing for Rayyan Ali coming from the right flank ended up with a good block from the opposition defender.

After a confident first half and a short break, SJFC pushed for a second goal, with a high line always playing on the edge. A break from the opposition who stay onside but Hamza makes the tackle with the ball going for a corner. The ball ping ponging around the box, with a shot through the crowd ends in the back of the net.

SJFC taking the game back to the Fullerians, Ahmad driving with the ball and a long range shot hitting the cross bar, Maisam on the right making a chance that falls to Asadali who nearly scores at the back post.

Fullerians using their physicality, put pressure back on SJFC and get another corner from the opposite side. The ball jumps up and hits an SJFC player on the hand.. penalty to Fullerians. Ali Muktar, superstar keeper from last year makes a miraculous save to his left with a strong hand pushing the ball onto the cross bar and jumping on the lose ball. Fullerians with another attack on the left, squaring the ball for a 1v1 but Ali again saves the shot, pushing the ball onto the left post , rolling on the line.. no goal!

1min to go and SJFC pushing get caught offside, however a miss hit from the defender clearing the ball goes straight to Ahmad who skips past him and hits a powerful shot which looks to be going in before the Fullerians goalkeeper diving to his left and saving the ball seconds before full time.

With the game ending 1-1, SJFC and a man of the match performance from Ali, the team feel they should have won but a good point in the first game.
