Holy Trinity Juniors U15 Ospreys vs SJFC U15 vs

Stanmore Jafferys U15s v Holy Trinity Juniors Ospreys U15s League Fixture.

As both teams were short of full squads and the game had been postponed once already we agreed to play 10v10.

We started off the game very strong with 2 goals in the first 5 minutes scored by Hussain Alavi the first assisted by Alireaza Hamir the other by Jabir Walji. The opposition then managed to get a goal back making it 2-1.

A couple minutes after those goals Hussain scored another, a well taken header assisted by a wonderful cross by Adam Valjy making it 3-1.

Hussain was finding a lot of space in behind the defence and our Midfielders (Jaabir Walji and Abid Ravji were playing him through balls, one of which led to Hussain seeing the keeper off his line and scoring in the top corner from outside the box, 4-1, it felt like we were cruising. The opposition then responded with a goal near the end of the second half. Half time was 4-2.

When the second half started the opposition team scored another 2 quick goals and made the score 4-4. Nerves then set in and we were desperate for a goal we were pressuring the other team with everything then Hussain was on the break again and was gifted a penalty because of the keepers reckless tackle.

Alireza Hamir stepped up to take the penalty and scored a very good penalty placed in the bottom corner 5-4. Another through to Hussain Alavi and he managed to get a toe on it before the keeper took him out! The ball went into the net to make it 6-4 to Stanmore. It was a well deserved victory for Stanmore where all the players played their part.
