We arrived at the game ready for the tough challenge ahead. We started the game really well with a good amount of possession and both teams were taking shots. Our keeper Suhail Merali pulled off some great saves, also getting hit in the face by the ball with a close range volley. We could see that the opposition were a good team and why they were top of our league, but, we were causing them problems and playing some good football.
After about 20 minutes a lovely through ball was played and our striker, Sayed Hussain Alavi, scored with an amazing finish into the bottom corner. Soon after we had another chance one on one with the keeper, but, it went just wide! Then the opposition managed to score a goal to make it 1-1.
Just before half time we conceded a penalty because of a hand ball and they scored to make it 2-1.
At the start of the second half the weather became extreme with a lot of rain, hailstone and wind making it even colder than before, we were playing against the wind and it was tough. Early in  the second half we had a one on one with the keeper, their last defender fouled in the box and we won a penalty! Unluckily the shot hit the post, the score remained at 2-1. The referee forgot to send the defender off, for which he later apologised to the whole team for. This was the turning point. The opposition kept rotating their squad and as we only had 2 subs we were getting tired. 60 minutes into the game they had an attack and the keeper made a wonderful save but the defenders couldn’t clear the ball in time and they scored making the score 1-3.

After that they went and scored 3 more goals in 20 minutes. We kept our heads up and carried on and in the 85th minute we got another penalty as the other team handballed it. Our capitan Alireza Hamir went up and took the penalty and scored with a brilliant finish into the side nettings. The game finished 6-2 to the other team who played well.
Thanks to all the parents who came and watched in the rain and a big thank you to our coaches, Fuad uncle, Nazir uncle and Afzal uncle for sacrificing their own time to coach us.
