On the back of a win, SJFCs confidence was high going in to Saturdays match vs Stevenage. Confidence led to complacency however, and Stanmore conceded an early goal in the first 5 mins. Another goal for Stevenage followed, against the run of play, as Stanmore continue to struggle from set pieces. Stanmore kept asking questions of the Stevenage back line, with shots from Abbasali and Murtaza Merali, before Amirali fulfilled his one a game penalty quota to bring Stanmore back in it before the half.

The momentum carried on in the second half, with Stanmore bombarding the Stevenage goal, and with just under 10 minutes to go, Hussein Gulamhussein rose over the defenders to head in a cross, which was saved before slotted in the rebound, only to see the offside flag raised and the goal disallowed. Stevenage then got on the attack, again against the run of play, and won a penalty in the dying minutes of the game, and slotted it away, resulting in the final score of 3-1
