1st Quarter:
St Peters Iver dominated the ball in the early stages and came agonisingly close to opening the scoring but the towering SJFC keeper Mikhial Rashid produced an excellent save. There was some good football on the right from Jaabir Merali and Zaki Mavani for SJFA’s first shot on goal. St Peters Iver were on the attack soon after before scoring the opening goal of the game. Zain Dharas had a good freekick saved and from the resulting corner Zayn Khatau nearly equalised for SJFC.

2nd Quarter:
SJFC started the second quarter extremely well with Abbas Rajvani bossing the midfield and Hassan Valjy was impressive with some neat link up play with Zain Dharas and Zaki Mavani. As the referee brought the second quarter to a close SJFC were in the ascendency and looking comfortable soaking up the pressure. The defensive unit of Isa Ali, Amaan Merali, Jaabir Merali and Hasan Hussein were looking solid throughout this quarter.

(Score:  St Peters Iver 1-0 SJFC)

3rd Quarter:
An injury to Zain Dharas forced the coach to make a tactical change with Mikhial Rashid slotting in midfield. Zayn Khatau did extremely well in goal with a double save but St Peters Iver doubled their lead early in the 3rd quarter. Another quick counterattack resulted in the third goal for St Peters Iver.

(Score:  St Peters Iver 3-0 SJFC)

4th Quarter:
SJFC worked extremely hard in midfield to get back into the game in the final quarter, but soon found themselves 4-0 down. Zaki and Zain both came close to finding a consolation goal late on. However, the game soon ended with a 4-0 score line. Overall, there were a lot of positives to take from this game with the boys fighting for each other. We will look to bounce back next Saturday.
